Why Meditate ?

The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by
the hand of man

Meditation has many health benefits but it can also simply be a way of going back to our natural self. A natural life is the nourishing soil of the soul. By focusing almost singularly on developments in the outer physical world, what we neglect is ourselves.

As CG Jung remarked almost 100 years ago, ‘something maybe wrong in the world. Our modern prejudice of overestimating the importance of intellect and conscious mind might be false. We want simplicity. We are suffering in cities from a need of simple things.’

Sometimes we climb too high, going after complexity when we must actually return to simple things …. Given the effort to set records, urge towards conformity and desire for material possessions, maybe we need to rest a while and realize that the things being sought are irrelevant to a happy life.

To go in quest of yourself, and you will find yourself again in simple and forgotten things …
